I have been involved with fashions and Model A's for over 40 years. In high school, the only form of transportation I was allowed to drive was a 1931 Deluxe Coupe. (My parents didn't want me to drive anything fast!) I enjoy the "mechanical" end of our hobby, have been MAFCA's Judging Standards Chairperson, and I'm a Senior Car Judge.

My first Model A era dress was purchased at a swap meet in 1967. The era "shopping bug" has now developed into a part-time business selling era and reproduction clothing at swap meets. This "bug" has developed into one of the more extensive collections of era fashions in MAFCA, in every judging category. I'm especially proud of my 100+ pairs of era shoes ("if the shoe fits, you'd better buy it" is my motto!) and equally extensive purse and compact collection. I love doing seminars. I feel, by showing my examples, the new members of our hobby will be educated when they go out and develop their own "shopping bug".

Over the years I have learned a lot about era fashions, both what is right and what is wrong. I'm still documenting new facts now being incorporated by MAFCA. Having collected fashions for a long period of time, I have volumes of original research material That can be used for research. I co-authored the Footwear and Men's sections of the Fashion Guidelines. I have been a Master Judge since the "beginning of time" and have written over 100 fashion articles over the years for different club newsletters.

I have been on the MAFCA Board for a number of years too. My goal is promote and grow the participation in fashions and to preserve this important part of our hobby.
