The TURLOCK SWAP MEET always takes place during the last full weekend in January. In 2009, the Swap Meet will take place January 24-25, 2009. The hours of operation are Saturday, 7 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, 7 AM to 3 PM. Admission is $5.00 at the gate, children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

Gathering at the River
The Redding Rambling A's invite you to a fun filled three day event along the Sacramento River and through the foothills of Shasta County. There will be self guided tours, dinner with entertainment, an all-you-can-eat breakfast at the Masonic Lodge in Old Shasta. The Saturday tour starts from Old Shasta and travels through the foothills, arriving at the Darrah Springs State Fish Hatchery for lunch and a relaxing period before we head out again through the countryside of Tehema County and ending up the tour with a drive through the Cottonwood CHP Truck Scales, where your car will be weighed. Now, on to Anderson River Park. Hospitality will be open. Dinner will be served consisting of Tri-tip, Chicken, and all that goes with it. The Model A Touring Club invites you to join us in a 14-day tour of Northern California and Southern Oregon. From Redding the tour takes us to Central Oregon via Crater Lake and Bend. Then westward over the Cascades to join in the fun at the MAFCA Northwest Regional Group Meet in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Then it is over to the gorgeous Coastal Region of Oregon and south to Gold Beach for a Jet Boat ride up the Rogue River.

ROUNDUP at the RANCH
The Feather River A's Model A Car Club will be hosting their Fifth Rally and Car Show, "ROUNDUP at the RANCH", with the Host site the Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch, a "dude ranch", on the outskirts of Quincy.
The Rally will have a Western Theme and is a three day event with a Friday evening Welcoming Party and Campfire Sing-A-Long.
With many fun Model 'A' activities on Saturday to include, but not limited to, Continental Breakfast prior to the Saturday Tour, a running board swap meet, Saturday Night Western style activities such as a Barbecue Dinner, Western Dance with Live Band, Awards Ceremony and more. Sunday morning we will have a Farewell Breakfast.

September 25-27 -- Laconia, NHNew Mexico Tour
The Model A Touring Club invites MAFCA members to join us on a Model A tour of Northern New Mexico and Durango, CO. We will begin and end in Albuquerque, NM, and travel to Durango, Taos, Los Alamos, and Santa Fe.
From each of these locations we will travel out to interesting and scenic locations including Sky City at Acoma Pueblo, Mesa Verde National Park, historic Taos Pueblo, The Enchanted Circle near Taos, The Rio Grande Gorge, Bandelier National Monument, Los Alamos's atomic museum, El Rancho del las Golondringas, the Georgia O'Keefe Museum and her home at Ghost Ranch, and a host of museums, galleries, historic buildings, and scenic destinations.
The tour will end in Albuquerque on the day before the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta begins, making it easy to simply stay over and see that exciting event. This tour will be limited to 25 cars, so early registration is recommended.

International Model A Day
The 2009 International Model A day is scheduled for Saturday September 26, with a LOCAL rain date of Sunday, Sept. 27. This time of year works well in most points of North America and is acceptable in the Southern Hemisphere and Europe. It coincides with Henry Ford's trip to Europe in Sept. 1930 to Internationalize the Model "A" Ford by establishing Ford plants in Dagenham, England, Rotterdam, Holland, and Cologne, Germany.
Local chapters: this is a good opportunity to get your Model A's out on the road to "celebrate" our cars.

August 7-14, 2010 -- Vancouver BCMAFCA 2010 International Convention
The convention steering committee has been reorganized under a new chairman, Brian Carlson. The convention will be a traditional event featuring all those events that everyone expects and looks forward to.
A new contract with the host hotel has resulted in lower room rates (from CDN $125/US $103) along with optional breakfast-included options. Dedicated convention parking for our Model A's has been increased to 250 stalls. The awards banquet will now be on Friday evening.
To all our Early bird Newsletter subscribers, look for the next edition to be published by month end. Details of the post-convention seven day cruise to Alaska will be included. We appreciate everyone's patience during this transition and look forward to another memorable MAFCA event in 2010!

The Rebel A's of Nelson, NZ have been awarded the 2011 NZ National Meet and invite all of you to come and join us for "BE IN "A" HEAVEN IN 2011". Tentative plans have the meet starting the week before Easter in Nelson, NZ on Thursday, April 14 and ending back in Nelson Wednesday, April 21.
