Annual Swap Meet

The TURLOCK SWAP MEET always takes place during the last full weekend in January. In 2012, the Swap Meet will take place January 28/29, 2012. The hours of operation are Saturday, 7 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, 7 AM to 3 PM. Admission is $8.00 at the gate on Saturday, $5.00 on Sunday; children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

Third “A’s Back On The Track”

We'd like to invite everyone, especially the southeastern chapters, to join us for a weekend of real fun and friendship. Host hotel is in Florence, SC at the intersection of I-95 and I-26, very near Darlington. Events include laps in your “A” around NASCAR’s famous Darlington Raceway, welcome cookout, swap meet, bingo, and a dinner banquet with entertainment.

Central California Regional Meet

This meet is being hosted by the Bakersfield Chapter, the “FIRST” MAFCA Chapter. Friday, we will be touring multiple Kern County and Bakersfield attractions culminating with a CCRG sponsored barbeque Friday evening. Saturday will be filled with car games, seminars, Hubley races, self guided tours, and forays to the antique stores in Bakersfield, ending with a Grand Banquet and raffle drawing at Hodel’s Restaurant.

16th Annual Model A Day

Free admission for this all day event which runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in a historic downtown near the Wisconsin-Illinois state line. Re-live the Roaring 20’s era with over 200 Model A cars lining the streets. Watch era re-enactors and costumed residents while dancers and music entertainers perform in the town’s gazebo.

Enjoy an ice cream social, pig roast with all the trimmings and other homemade treats. Swap meet and vendors. Free dash plaque commemorating the event if you drive your Model A.

International Model A Day 2012

International Model A Ford Day will be Saturday, Sept 22, 2011, with a local rain date of Sunday, Sept 23. Thank you to those many enthusiasts who have sent me photos and write-ups of what their groups did at IMAFD 2010-11, so I can forward them with my articles to the National Model A Magazines.

Would badges, small shields, dash plaques, or something else be better than the commemorative patches as in the past years? Please advise your calendar keepers of this year's date.

The 35th edition of our swap meet will be on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Linn County Exposition Center, Albany, OR (I-5, Exit 234). Gates open at 8 a.m.

General admission is $5 for 16 and older. There is no parking fee. Vendor spaces are $30 and reservations are encouraged. Reservation deadline is November 7, 2012.
