Many of our chapters have their own web sites.
On our Chapters Pages, look for the links that say Visit our Web Site.

Model A Web Sites

The following web sites have Model A information. If you find more, please let us know! If the link no longer works, we'd appreciate hearing about that, too.

USA Old Car Sites
Not strictly Model A, but interesting, nevertheless.

Overseas Old Car Web Sites

  • Russian Model A's (GAZ)
Ford and the Soviet Union began talks in 1929 for a joint project to produce cars in Russia. The Gorky Automotible Plant (GAZ) opened its doors in 1932, producing at first Model AA-style trucks. This web site is devoted to the history of that plant.

  • Markus Maurer - Switzerland
My name is Markus Maurer and I am living in Switzerland. I'm also a member of the MAFCA. For 5 years I have been restoring a Ford Model A pickup and it should be finished in 2 years. The whole restore process is documented month by month on my homepage. Now I have translated my German sites into English and maybe they are also interesting for other Model A people.

  • Net Classics - Early Ford-A Register by Lars & Andreas Hedstrom in Sweden

  • My 1930 Ford - owned by Alain Fontaine, France.

Organizations

A list of Model A Organizations is on the Reference Desk page and includes the names and addresses for MAFCA, MARC, and MAFFI.

Other Interesting Sites

  • Catch the wave - the new Burma Shave Page - Wonderful look back at the era of Burma Shave and their colorful ad campaign. Another creation of Grant MacLaren.

The mission of the Association is to "foster interest in the life and accomplishments of Henry Ford and to work toward the preservation and interpretation of landmarks associated with his life." We currently have over 900 members from 6 countries around the world.

  • Henry Ford/Thomas Edison Winter Estates - Homes of the famous Friends in Fort Myers, Florida.

  • The Life of Henry Ford - another page on the site of the Henry Ford Heritage Association.

  • Model A's that fly - See an airplane powered by a Model A engine on the Pietenpol page done by Grant MacLaren.
